The NFL International Games Series’ host teams for 2024 have been revealed.

revealed the five organizations who will take their show on the road this fall. While we knew the Buffalo Bills wouldn’t play a “home” game overseas for two seasons in a row, we didn’t know where they’d play each team on the road.

The Philadelphia Eagles will participate in the NFL’s inaugural game in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday during the first week of the 2024 season. Their opponents for the match at Corinthians Arena will be disclosed later.

The other “host/home” teams playing outside the United States for the 2024 season are the Chicago Bears (London, UK — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), Minnesota Vikings (London, UK — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), Jacksonville Jaguars (London, UK — Wembley Stadium), and Carolina Panthers (Munich, DE — Allianz Arena).

But what exactly does this mean for the Buffalo Bills in 2024? It means the Bills will not travel to face or “host” a team on foreign soil this season.

You may recall that the Bills traveled to Jacksonville to host the Jaguars in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season. Jacksonville, having played in the UK in Week 4, was already accustomed to the time change — and, as the “visiting team,” had a perceived edge against Buffalo, which went to London on Friday morning ahead of their Sunday game. Whether due to terrible luck or poor planning, the team came out flat, and injuries decimated the defense. The squad slumped to 3-2, ushering in a worrying early mid-season slump.

This season, aside from the Jaguars, who play two games in the United Kingdom each year, none of Buffalo’s opponents are set to play overseas. That doesn’t mean their schedule is any easier, with eight of seventeen games (three at home, five on the road) versus playoff opponents from the previous season. While each new season offers a new roster overhaul and a different look from each team, the Bills should once again face the best of the best in the NFL in 2024.
