The Dallas Cowboys are now looking for a defensive coordinator. This comes after Dan Quinn accepted the head coaching post with the Washington Commanders. So, there’s a potential the Cowboys will strike back and take someone who used to work for the Commanders.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys have visited with former Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera.
He was fired by Washington after four seasons as coach. Previously, he was the Carolina Panthers’ head coach for nine seasons. Rivera is now looking to make a fresh start with a potential division rival.
Competition for Jobs
Rivera isn’t the only ex-head coach linked to this role. According to the story, Mike Zimmer was meeting with the Cowboys to discuss the defensive coordinator position. He was the Minnesota Vikings’ head coach from 2014 to 21.

After being beaten in the first round of the playoffs by the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys hope to rebound in 2024. One thing is for certain.
With players like Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and DaRon Bland to work with, the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator position should be coveted.
