Detroit Lions sign WR Daurice Fountain.
The Detroit Lions’ season ended with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
The Lions have already shifted gears toward the 2024 season. The Lions announced on Tuesday that they had signed 11 players to futures reserve contracts, and a day later, they made it an even dozen by signing wide receiver Daurice Fountain.
Who is Daurice Fountain?
Fountain began his NFL career as a fifth-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2018, appearing in six games over three seasons with the organization.
Following his time with the Colts, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 and largely served on the practice squad. In 2022, he was signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad but did not play in any games.
Bottom line.
The Detroit Lions are deliberately positioning themselves for the 2024 season, as seen by recent additions like wide receiver Daurice Fountain. These changes indicate the team’s desire to strengthen its roster and build on its success from the previous season.
