The Green Bay Packers have been linked to dangerous SEC weapons in 2024 NFL Draft speculation.

With the Green Bay Packers out of Super Bowl contention after being eliminated from the NFL playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers, fans may focus their attention on the 2024 NFL Draft. The Packers have the 25th pick in the first round, which they may utilize to shore up either the offense or the defense. Jordan Reid of ESPN has mentioned Alabama Crimson Tide defensive backs Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry as potential candidates for that choice.

The rise of quarterback Jordan Love and the Packers’ young receivers has made their next selection strategy more flexible. However, after moving Rasul Douglas and with questions about Jaire Alexander’s status for next season, Green Bay’s cornerback space is extremely thin. Alabama cornerbacks Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold would both make sense.

Green Bay Packers Could Look To Use 25th Pick On Defensive Weapon.

Arnold and McKinstry are two of the top NFL prospects on several mock draft boards, including Pro Football Focus, which ranks them 16th and 19th overall, respectively.

Why Green Bay Packers Pro Bowler Is 'Very Optimistic' They Can Win Super Bowl In 2025

Of course, the 2024 NFL Draft will not take place until late April, by which time the Green Bay Packers will most likely have a new defensive coordinator to replace the recently departed Joe Barry. That defensive coordinator will have a huge influence in what kind of defensive assets the team looks to acquire through the draft, but the Packers can still expect to look at Arnold and McKinstry, especially if Jaire Alexander leaves the team in the offseason. Darnell Savage is another likely departure from the Packers’ secondary.
