Green Bay will have eleven picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.

This football squad will need to fill positions such as running back, cornerback, safety, and offensive line this offseason. Thank glad they don’t need to draft a quarterback because Jordan Love appears to be the long-term quarterback and will likely receive a contract extension this offseason.

They will have six picks from the fourth to seventh rounds. Who are some of the options the Green Bay Packers could consider in those rounds?

A sportswriter mentions that the Green Bay Packers should take Oregon running back Bucky Irving on the third day of the 2024 NFL draft.

2023 NFL Draft: Explaining the volume of Packers' Day 3 picks - Acme Packing Company

Goncalves provided Ferreira with the following reasoning:

“With A.J. Dillon set to become a free agent, Aaron Jones approaching 30, and recent availability/durability issues, the Packers must strategize for the present and future of the running back position. In this situation, Irving would be an outstanding choice.

. He may come in and share the backfield, gradually taking on a larger role, as he possesses all of the essential characteristics. Irving is one of the top receivers in the class, with exceptional explosiveness and speed, a knack for making big plays, and the ability to smash a home run from anywhere on the field.

He is elusive and difficult to track down in open space, but he has excellent balance and physicality for his height. He would fit nicely in the Packers’ outside zone plays, and his versatility allows him to be moved over the field, put into motion, and used to create advantageous matchups.

Green Bay Packers 3 Biggest Draft Needs

Aaron Jones has one year left on his deal, and it is probable that the Packers will not re-sign AJ Dillon this offseason. The running back room could use some new faces. It is probable that Green Bay will select two running backs in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bucky Brooks from Oregon is the latest example, and he would be an excellent fit for the Green Bay Packers. It is probable that they will choose additional running backs on Day 2, such as Blake Corum of Michigan, Jonathan Brooks of Texas, or Braelon Allen of Wisconsin.
