Tonight is the Lakers basketball game! This time, your Los Angeles Lakers will go to play their rivals in the Pacific Division, the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors, at 19-23, have performed even worse than the subpar Lakers, at 23-23, as both teams have fallen far short of the high expectations placed on them for this season. But they can still put things right since they have star power on their side. But the Lakers might not have enough for tonight’s game.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the two best players in the NBA, are rated as doubtful for tonight’s prime-time game in San Francisco.
Because of the same issues that have put them on the injury report, James and Davis are both classified as questionable. The injury report lists James’s left ankle peroneal tendinopathy and Davis’s bilateral Achilles tendinopathy. For their most recent game against the Chicago Bulls, both players were available. In the team’s victory over the Bulls, James finished with 25 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds to lead the team in scoring, while Davis finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists to rank third on the team.
If they are well enough, the purple and gold will need everything that the superstar pair has to offer. There won’t be much time left, and the Lakers can’t afford to have another late-season run of success. Unless something serious happens, we expect them out there. The cutoff time is 5:30 p.m. PT.
