According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers want to interview Brandon Staley for the role of defensive coordinator. This comes after Staley was fired as the Los Angeles Chargers’ head coach following a devastating loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Believe it or not, Green Bay also competes for Staley’s services. The Miami Dolphins also intend to interview him.

The Green Bay Packers ranked ninth in passing yards allowed per game (206.8). The Los Angeles Chargers finished 30th (249.8) in this category. The Chargers’ rush defense was somewhat better than the Packers’ under Staley. They allowed 15 less rushing yards per game. However, the Chargers gave up nearly three more points per game than the Packers.
