Matthew Sexton previously played for four other NFL teams before joining the Miami Dolphins.

On Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins announced that former Eastern Michigan wide receiver Mathew Sexton had signed a reserve/future contract. He signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in March 2021.

Sexton, 26, spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, and New England Patriots between 2021 until the end of the 2024 season. Sexton, who has 1,335 yards and nine touchdowns in 45 games for Eastern Michigan, was taken in the eighth round of the 2023 XFL Draft. He recorded 23 receptions for 326 receiving yards while playing for Vegas.

Sexton, cornerback Ethan Bonner, tight end Tanner Conner, and six other players inked future contracts with the Dolphins this week. The franchise has only drafted one player on the list, offensive lineman Ryan Hayes. Bonner, Conner, defensive tackle Brandon Pili, and wide receiver Bralyon Sanders are all recorded as having appeared in games.

Are any of these players destined for the 53-man roster next season?
