BREAKING: NFL Makes Unconventional Decision Regarding Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Wild Card Game

The NFL reached a contentious decision on the location of the Buffalo Bills’ Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday. A major winter storm is forecast to hit Buffalo during the game, which is scheduled for early Sunday afternoon.

According to reports on Thursday, the league is considering moving the game to Cleveland. The NFL, on the other hand, denied the report. The NFL was monitoring weather conditions Friday morning, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, after the National Weather Service updated the forecast conditions outside Highmark Stadium for Sunday’s game. Fans may find it “difficult” or “impossible” to travel to the game:

Saturday night through Sunday night, heavy lake effect snow bands with strong winds will form east of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Snow bands will move north to south, affecting the Buffalo and Watertown metro areas. Within snow bands, travel will be difficult to impossible.

How we see it: News writers predict AFC wild-game game between Bills and Steelers

The NFL has made a decision on the Bills game.

Despite the bleak prognosis, Schefter reported Friday afternoon that the Steelers and Bills were told the game would still take place in Buffalo on Sunday.

The league is not concerned about the safety of the teams or fans traveling to the game on Sunday. The league apparently made the same decision to play the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins Wild Card games in “dangerously cold” circumstances on Saturday rather than during the warmest time of day.
