The Bills have no All-Pros on the NFLPA’s list, but don’t expect Josh Allen to complain.

The Buffalo Bills won another AFC East title, as well as the conference’s second seed in the playoffs, thanks to a frantic late-season surge. It also resulted in no Bills making the All-Pro team, which quarterback Josh Allen dismissed like an overzealous pass rusher.

On Wednesday, the NFLPA unveiled their All-Pro team, and neither Allen nor any of his colleagues were named. What was his reaction? “Go Bills,” says Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network.

Beginning in 2022, the NFLPA will have its own All-Pro team. Active NFL players on a team roster can only vote, and players cannot vote for themselves or their colleagues.

Players vote within their position group and against positional groups with which they line up. (Wide receivers, like cornerbacks and safeties, vote for All-Pro wide receivers.) Each team’s leaders nominate two “core” special team members.

Regardless, Allen, Bills content

Instead of personal honors, Allen and the Bills will have to be content with hosting a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Despite the fact that the season didn’t get going until Week 14

Buffalo entered Week 13 with a 6-6 record. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins advanced to 9-3 that weekend and appeared to be in complete control of the AFC East. By that point, the Bills were on their second offensive coordinator of the season, and the only thing consistent about their play as a team was how uneven it was.

However, an upset victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14 sparked a five-game winning streak. This streak concluded in a Week 18 victory over the Dolphins for the divisional title, Buffalo’s fourth in a row.

Now that Allen and company are in the postseason, they will be a difficult opponent for any team in the AFC. They just will not have any All-Pro players to field.
