“Football is supposed to bring us together, not divide us, remember that part,” Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill said.
According to ESPN, police in South Florida have confirmed that a man shot and murdered a Buffalo Bills fan after the Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins in last week’s last regular season game.
According to a news release from Miami Gardens police, Dylan Brody Isaacs, 30, and his pals were walking back to their car on Sunday when they got into an altercation with the driver of another automobile a few blocks away from Hard Rock Stadium.
According to authorities, Isaacs was shot and killed at the site by an unidentified driver with a pistol.
The man left in an earlier model Honda Accord, which was later discovered in Palm Beach County the next day. The vehicle was seized during the investigation.
Detectives have identified and interrogated a suspect, although his or her identity has not yet been disclosed. Meanwhile, the probe is still underway.
“It was a senseless act,” Cecelia Skye, Isaacs’ aunt, told NBC Miami. “They just didn’t want [the driver] to injure anyone else.” It was only a game. It’s a sport that’s supposed to be competitive, but there’s no place for violence.”
Isaacs’ family friend set up a GoFundMe campaign, which received approximately $90,000 in donations as of Wednesday to cover the costs of his funeral and transportation to Six Nations, Canada’s largest First Nation reserve.
According to his Facebook page, Isaacs lives in Hollywood, Florida.
Following the murder of a Bills fan, Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill reacted to the news on Tuesday by writing on X, form.
According to Sportskeeda, this is the second occasion this season that a fan has died following an American Football Conference (AFC) East game against Miami.
Dale Mooney, 53, was involved in a brawl during the New England Patriots’ game against the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium in September of last year. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter, and he was rushed to the hospital, where he died before midnight. According to reports, the Pats fan went into cardiac arrest.
