Jason Kelce speaks out about that viral video of Philadelphia Eagles players looking depressed after being selected for the Pro Bowl… and believes it’s a ‘honor’ to have made the cut for the SEVENTH time.
A humorous video has emerged of Jason Kelce and some of his Philadelphia Eagles teammates learning they have been selected for the NFL Pro Bowl Games in 2024.
On Wednesday night, the Eagles released a video in which head coach Nick Sirianni read out the names of individuals who will be traveling to Orlando – as well as those on the alternate roster.
And, much to the amusement of some Philadelphia supporters on social media, none of the players seemed particularly pleased to hear their names mentioned.
Jason Kelce, Haason Reddick, D’Andre Swift, offensive tackle Lane Johnson, wide receiver AJ Brown, and guard Landon Dickerson all made the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
After reviewing the list, Sirianni said, “Great job, guys.” The head coach then leads a round of applause for those who have been chosen.
However, center Kelce is the only player that even gets close to smiling when his name is shouted.
No one else seemed to be feeling anything, with Reddick and Dickerson appearing downcast. ‘They literally don’t care,’ one supporter said. I enjoy how pissed off this team is.’
It comes after Philadelphia (11-5) ceded the NFC’s top spot after four losses in their last five games.
The Eagles have plenty of backups for next month’s showcase in Orlando, where AFC and NFC stars will compete in skills competitions and a flag football game over multiple days.
Among them are quarterback Jalen Hurts, defensive end Josh Sweat, tight end Dallas Goedert, and offensive tackle Jordan Mailata.
