Tyler Goodson, a former Green Bay Packers running back, enraged Indianapolis Colts fans Saturday night when he committed a critical error on the team’s final drive of the game. In Week 18, the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans squared off for a Wild Card position.
The Colts were eliminated after Goodson dropped a catchable ball on a fourth and one play with just over a minute left in the fourth quarter, trailing the Texans by six points.
Fans and analysts were perplexed as to why Goodson was in the game when star running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 188 yards and scored a touchdown.
In 2022, the Packers signed Goodson as a UDFA out of Iowa. He spent the entire season with Green Bay but had no stats with the squad.
Goodson was cut by the Packers after training camp in August, around the time Green Bay was interested in trading for Taylor with the Colts. Goodson’s performance on Saturday night cost the Colts a postseason spot. We’ll find out on Sunday whether not trading for Taylor cost the Packers a playoff berth.
