A lot is on the line as the Green Bay Packers prepare to face the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in Week 18. If the Packers win, they will enter the NFC playoffs as either the No. 7 or No. 6 seed. If the Packers lose to their arch-rivals, they will almost probably be watching the playoffs from their couches.

The fan base is really nervous about this encounter. Playing a major opponent is never a simple assignment in and of itself. Things become even more nerve-racking when you consider that the Bears have been playing much better football and that Justin Fields is always a tough cover for the Packers.

Despite these shortcomings, the Packers are the superior team on paper. They are also becoming healthier at the appropriate moment. They should be able to win if they play their game.

Former Green Bay Packers QB Sends Team A Warn
Former Green Bay Packers Kurt Benkert is talking about the club in Week 18 as he has done for the most of the 2023 NFL season. He is concerned about the game against the Bears.

Benkert took to Twitter to send an unsettling message to the Packers.

Regardless of how much Packers fans want to believe that the Bears will be an easy win, Benkert is completely true.

When comparing the two teams, the Packers’ defense has been abysmal all season. They had a big game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17, but Joe Barry is not a strong defensive coordinator.

Fields is one of the game’s top dual-threat quarterbacks. If the Green Bay Packers can’t stop him, the Chicago Bears will likely send them home in Week 18 for the second year in a row. Everything will be determined by how well the defense performs against Chicago.

Only time will tell how the Packers fare against the resurgent Bears. After being blown out by Green Bay in Week 1, Chicago has been looking forward to this showdown. The stage is prepared; all that remains is to see which Packers team turns up for the battle.
