Ryan Kent, a Fenerbahçe winger, is said to have handed in a transfer request and is hoping to depart the club in the coming months.

According to the article, Kent submitted a transfer request just six months after joining Fenerbahçe in the summer. The Scotsman has appeared in only one league game this season and has only made cameo appearances since the beginning of November.

Fenerbahçe coach Ismail Kafra is thought to be open to Kent leaving the club on loan in January, but it could easily become a permanent move for the correct amount.

A number of clubs in the United Kingdom, notably his former club Rangers, have expressed interest in the winger.

Leeds United are fourth in the Championship, four points behind Southampton and seven points ahead of Ipswich Town. Daniel Farke is anticipated to bolster his team in January in order to increase their chances of promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

What does Ryan Kent bring to the table as a player?

The 27-year-old is a dangerous attacker who can take on players before generating chances or scoring himself. Many European clubs were drawn to his performances at Rangers, particularly during the club’s Europa League semi-final run in 2022.

Kent provides a strong creative threat from wide areas; before leaving Scotland, he provided eight assists in successive seasons.

He would be an asset to Leeds United’s attacking line. Especially with Wilfried Gnonto’s future uncertain and Jaidon Anthony just on loan for the season.

Kent might also be a good long-term addition, bringing competition or even replacing Crysencio Summerville, who is being pursued by clubs following an outstanding season.

Kent, who has already lodged a transfer request and is keen to leave a squad for which he has only played seven league games, could be available for a minimal sum.

He also joined Fenerbahce for free last summer, so any deal would be considered profitable. However, a sum of around £6 million is currently being estimated for the wide player.
