The Green Bay Packers’ offense has been firing on all cylinders thanks to Jordan Love and Aaron Jones’ outstanding play. With the playoffs on the line, both players have elevated their game over the last few weeks. The Packers will need another strong game from their top offensive combo as they prepare for a win-and-in situation against the Chicago Bears in Week 18.
Early in the season, the media was all on Love, urging the Packers to let go of their rookie quarterback. Clearly, the naysayers were incorrect.
Aaron Jones Responds to Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love’s Detractors
Jones did not hold back after the Packers’ Week 17 blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football, sending a direct message to all of Love’s detractors.
“He shut them up.”
Love and Jones must now defeat the Packers’ archrivals in the last test. Losing to the Bears in the season finale would be a crushing blow to this season’s incredible comeback.
On paper, the Packers are unquestionably the superior team. If they play to their ability, they should have a postseason berth after Week 18. However, this is the same team that lost to the Detroit Lions in a similar position last season.
The Packers should come out strong this week. Love and Jones will see a lot of action, and they must deliver when their team needs them the most.
