The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without quarterback Trevor Lawrence as they try to save their season on Sunday. The Jaguars, on the other hand, will have left offensive tackle Cam Robinson available for the first time in a month.
Robinson was injured in Jacksonville’s 24-21 win over the Houston Texans on Nov. 26. The following day, the Jaguars placed the former Alabama All-American on injured reserve, and he missed the next four games.
Jacksonville fell to 8-7 in a tie for first place in the AFC South with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, while the Jaguars hold first place in the playoff standings due to tiebreakers with two Sundays remaining in the regular season.
Jacksonville will face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday without Lawrence, who will miss his first game of the season due to a shoulder injury. The Jaguars will start C.J. Beathard at quarterback.
Robinson returned to practice on Wednesday and was reinstated to Jacksonville’s 53-man active roster on Saturday.
When the Jaguars placed Robinson on injured reserve on November 27, they added offensive tackle Chandler Brewer to their active roster. Jacksonville released the former Florence High School standout on Saturday, despite Robinson’s comeback. During his time with the Jaguars, Brewer appeared in one game.
