The Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals could be in business very soon. Buffalo is currently 9-6 and in a strong position to make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals are 3-12 and still in competition for the first overall choice in next year’s draft (though the Panthers may have that locked up already).

According to one report, these two franchises will make an unexpected transaction that will undoubtedly change both franchises.

The Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals may make a big trade involving a star.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine outlined how this enormous move could play out:

Stefon Diggs - Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver - ESPN
The Bills receive a first-round pick in 2024 (via Houston) and a third-round pick in 2025.

Cardinals sign WR Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs made the ESPN list and has been the subject of trade rumors since the offseason. The receiver isn’t afraid to express his displeasure, and there’s a reason he’s had to confront his relationship with the team on several times.

As Dan Graziano pointed out, how the Bills’ season ends might have a big impact on whether trade talk resumes.

Diggs’ recent production, even coming in Bills victories, may cause additional discontent. He’s been restricted to less than 50 yards in four of the previous five games after exceeding that mark in each of the team’s first nine games.

If things have actually deteriorated, the Cardinals would be an intriguing team to contact. They have two first-round picks, allowing them to use one and trade the one they received from Houston last year.

However, the Texans’ pick is heading toward the middle of the draft order, allowing the Bills to continue building around Allen in his second contract.

Jonathan Gannon and the Cards should expect to see significant improvement in 2024. Kyler Murray’s absence was a foregone conclusion that the team would struggle this season. Gannon must now demonstrate his ability to prosper.

According to Spotrac, the Cardinals have $56.1 million in cap space in 2024. And pairing Murray with Stefon Diggs and Marvin Harrison Jr. instantly elevates them to one of the league’s most exciting offenses.

Will the Bills ever let Diggs go?

Diggs has five catches for 29 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16. It was Diggs’ third straight game with fewer than 50 yards receiving, and he hadn’t topped 100 yards since Week 6 on October 15.

Despite his recent performance slump, Diggs remains an important member of the Bills as they prepare for their Week 17 game against the New England Patriots. There are concerns about Diggs’ recent troubles and how they will affect the team’s playoff chances as the season comes to a close.

Could a Diggs deal be on the horizon if the Bills have a bad season?
