TRENDING: Green Bay Packers Fans Going Above and Beyond to Fire Defensive Coordinator; Suggesting Joe Barry Create a Fake DraftKings…

The Green Bay Packers are coming off a big road win, although a close one, against the Carolina Panthers. The Packers won 33-30, but only after blowing a 14-point fourth-quarter lead. Carolina’s 30 points were their most this season, including the preseason.

Naturally, Packers supporters are tired of defensive coordinator Joe Barry, especially after their team’s recent defensive failures. One fan in particular concocted a devious strategy to get the defensive quarterback fired by opening a DraftKings Sportsbook account.

DC with the Green Bay Packers Joe Barry: Tough Season in 2023

Joe Barry joins the Green Bay Packers in 2021 after four seasons as an assistant head coach and linebackers coach with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the front office’s investment in defensive talent, Barry’s performance as defensive coordinator has been disappointing over the last two seasons. In 2022, the Packers used their first and second round picks on linebackers Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt. They also added corner Rasul Douglas, star De’Vondre Campbell, and defensive tackle Jarred Reed, but output fell. They allowed 21.8 points per game, which ranked 17th in the league.

Green Bay Packers Fans Furious With Joe Barry's Final Stand In Loss To New York Giants

This season has been much the same, with the Packers entering Week 17 outside the top half of the league in terms of points allowed per game. The Packers burned another draft pick on defense, this time selecting linebacker Lukas Van Ness with the 15th overall pick. Packers fans have become tired of Joe Barry’s defensive playcalling and inability to put his guys in positions to succeed.

The Green Bay Packers’ Path to the Playoffs

With two weeks remaining, the Packers can still make the playoffs despite being on the outside looking in. A win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17 would be a strong start for their postseason chances. Losses by the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks would also aid the Packers significantly. The NFC presently has six teams that are either 8-7 or 7-8.
