The Minnesota Vikings have been fighting as hard as they can to keep their postseason dreams alive. Especially after Kirk Cousins’ injury, others have stepped up to fill the vacuum and have given it their all in a season that could have been easily abandoned.

As the second half against the Detroit Lions came to a close, Nick Mullens launched a deep pass to wide receiver Jordan Addison. Under pressure, the pass attempt fell short, and the Lions defender intercepted the ball heading the other way.

What happened next, however, is what fans are most concerned about.

Jordan Addison was caught off guard while pursuing the play by one of his own teammates attempting to make a play. He was seen leaving the medical tent and heading to the changing room. With early indications that he would be able to return after an extended sabbatical, it was hoped that he would play against the Detroit Lions.

This was not the case, as he was ruled out shortly afterwards. His ankle had been rolled up on during the game, and he was unable to return.

Vikings Rumors: Insider Offers Injury Update on Jordan Addison

The next morning, Ian Rapoport stated that Jordan Addison will now be evaluated on a week-to-week basis going forward. With only two regular-season games remaining, this may bode trouble for the Minnesota Vikings and signal the end of his season.

Jordan Addison of the Minnesota Vikings was drafted in the first round out of USC. So far this season, he has 63 catches, 826 yards, and 9 touchdowns. Jordan Addison has proven to be a valuable wide receiving prospect, capable of making big time plays, especially with some of the prolonged time that Justin Jefferson has been forced to miss due to his own injuries.

Jordan Addison recorded a two-yard reception before leaving the game against the Detroit Lions. Jordan Addison has been able to participate in all of the Minnesota Vikings’ games this season, despite the team’s difficult season. Jordan Addison has shown to be a steady presence for this offense as the team navigates a difficult, shifting quarterback position.

While this morning’s news is not positive, the Minnesota Vikings will be hoping for a rapid comeback.
