With a win over Carolina, the Green Bay Packers’ playoff chances improve.

Win — or start thinking about 2024.

That’s how the Green Bay Packers approached their final three games of the season.

The Packers entered Sunday’s game 6-8 and 11th in the NFC. Only the top seven teams in each conference make the playoffs, thus another loss would end the Packers’ aspirations.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Packers held off a late Carolina push to win 33-30. Green Bay rose to ninth in the NFC playoff race as a result.

Here’s a look at the NFC playoff picture:

DIVISION LEADERS

1. San Francisco (11-3) — Hosts Baltimore Monday in a potential Super Bowl preview.

5. Philadelphia (10-4) — Has lost three straight since 10-1 start.

6. Los Angeles Rams (8-7) — Heating up with five wins in six games.

Analysis: Sean McVay doing one of his better coaching jobs.

7. Seattle (8-7) — Has won two straight since a four-game losing streak.

Analysis: Seahawks will be favored in their last two games.
