REPORT: The Miami Dolphins Change Their Tone On Tyreek Hill’s Availability Just Hours Before the Cowboys Game

The Miami Dolphins changed their stance on Tyreek Hill’s status for their Christmas Eve game against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. Hill was listed as questionable for the Dolphins’ game against the Cowboys on Friday after a video of him limping at practice surfaced on social media.

The Dolphins kept standout wide receiver and NFL MVP candidate Hill out of their Week 15 game against the New York Jets with Hill’s approval. The Dolphins wanted to be sure Hill didn’t further injure his ankle with less than a month until the playoffs.

The Miami Dolphins have changed their mind about playing Hill.

In Week 16, the Dolphins’ policy of resting Hill for precautionary reasons appears to have shifted. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins will make sure Hill is ready to play before adding him to their inactive list, like they did last week. However, the Dolphins believe he can play against the Cowboys.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) questionable for Sunday's game vs. Cowboys

Hill’s ankle isn’t back to normal, according to a video that leaked on Friday. The Dolphins, on the other hand, are more willing to risk an injury against a playoff contender like the Cowboys than they were against the mediocre Jets.

Is Hill’s ankle any better? Or do the Dolphins regard Sunday’s game as a must-win to claim the AFC East and improve their postseason placement against a harder opponent where Hill can make a difference?

We might find out on the field on Sunday. The Dolphins will be hoping that playing Hill on Christmas Eve does not harm them in the next year.
