(Breaking) The Green Bay Packers have signed a former NFL Pro Bowl defensive to their game-day roster against the Carolina Panthers

In Week 16, the Green Bay Packers will face the Carolina Panthers. If the Packers (6-8) win out, they will have a very strong chance of making the playoffs. The Carolina Panthers (2-12) want to extract as many positives as possible from this season.

The Packers signed the cousin of one of the best defensive tackles in NFL history prior to their clash on Sunday.

Before facing the Carolina Panthers, the Green Bay Packers add Warren Sapp’s cousin to their gameday roster.

For tomorrow’s game against the Panthers, the Packers have promoted WR Bo Melton and S Benny Sapp III from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Life And Career Of Warren Sapp (Story)

Sapp has been promoted for the third and final time. Due to the unavailability of Darnell Savage (shoulder) and Rudy Ford (back), he can assist the Packers in filling the vacancies in the secondary. In his previous two games as a practice squad elevation this season, he played three defensive snaps and 13 special teams snaps.

Warren Sapp, a former NFL Pro Bowl defensive tackle, is Benny Sapp’s cousin.

Sapp Overcame adversity to make it to the NFL.

Sapp had a knee injury as a three-star recruit at Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota, necessitating surgery and forcing him to miss his senior year.

Prior to that, Sapp was a top defensive recruit in the country at St. Thomas Aquinas. His freshman performance earned him 21 college offers, including those from Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Michigan.
Sapp, on the other hand, tore his ACL as a sophomore. He tore it again in his junior year. Benny Sapp II, Sapp’s father, relocated the family to Minnesota in order to resume Sapp’s football career.
