The Texas Longhorns are preparing to face the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff. However, depending on how the college football calendar unfolds, they must also deal with the transfer portal. Kristopher Ross, a talented edge rusher, transferred out of the program.
Texas Longhorns Lose Competitive Advantage Kristopher Ross didn’t see much action for the Longhorns. He only had two tackles his freshman year, and he just had one this year. He was carried off the field with an elbow injury on September 16th and never returned. He’s probably changing jobs for a change of scenery. There are a thousand reasons why players do not play, and sometimes it is best to go on.
2024 Prospects
This is unlikely to be a significant loss for Texas. Ross wasn’t on the field much anyhow, and while losing the younger potential is disappointing, Texas should have no issue attracting quality. The Longhorns will join the SEC in 2024, bringing with them a slew of new hurdles. They will now have to compete with a big number of clubs that could potentially compete in the conference in 2024.
Can the Texas Longhorns end the 2023 season with a national title? It will be difficult, but they are only two wins away from returning to the top of the college football world.
