Christian Watson of the Green Bay Packers stretched with his helmet on Friday, but he is unlikely to play against the Carolina Panthers (2-14) on Sunday, according to Ryan Wood. However, he also stated that Watson is extremely likely to return for next Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings (7-7).

It would be big if the Packers won this weekend and the Vikings lost this weekend to make that playoff clash even more important. Watson’s hamstring ailment will most likely keep him out of the game for the sixth time this season.

Packers rookie Christian Watson to miss time during training camp

He has battled to stay on the field this season, and he is experiencing a sophomore slump. Watson has caught 28 catches for 422 yards receiving and five touchdowns this season. His yards per reception average is 15.1 and he has been targeted 53 times by quarterback Jordan Love.

If Christian Watson misses next week, in addition to not playing this weekend, will his future with the franchise be jeopardized, or will he be brought back next season? If the Packers lose to Carolina, they may decide to put him down for the season rather than risk future hamstring problems.

Even if Christian Watson returns, he will not play immediately for the Green Bay Packers, according to Matt LaFleur.

Christian Watson

Some believe Watson should be able to play immediately when he returns to full strength next week. With six games missed this season, it shouldn’t be as automatic. Watson has the talent to play, but Dontayvion Wicks has earned the right to play more snaps than him.

This season, Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs have also performed admirably. Yes, Green Bay is unlikely to do so since Watson is their undisputed number one wide receiver. When he returns to the field against the Minnesota Vikings, head coach Matt LaFleur will make certain he is used in the offense.

That is another thing. Whether or whether that is the correct approach is another. Packers supporters are unlikely to want him to play. They believe they are better off without him, and half of this may be correct. This song would not be sung right now if Watson was playing well and wasn’t injured.
