Hurts, Brown power unbeaten Eagles past Steelers 35-13 - WHYY
The Philadelphia Eagles are on a three-game losing streak and, with their loss on Monday, have lost control of the NFC East. One of the reasons they are struggling is health, as they are battling with injuries and another player will be going to the operating room. According to Mike Garofolo of NFL Network, offensive lineman Landon Dickerson will have thumb surgery today but will not be placed on Injured Reserve.

Landon Dickerson was a Pro Bowl offensive guard last season, and it is uncertain how much time he will miss for the struggling Philadelphia Eagles. The offense is now seventh in the league, averaging 25.6 points per game, and has not been an issue, but they must get healthy now that they have won a playoff spot.

Will the Philadelphia Eagles be able to win the NFC East?

The Philadelphia Eagles may have been struggling to the point of losing their previous three games. They do, however, have one of the more forgiving schedules in the entire sport. Their final three games are listed below.

Philadelphia Eagles Schedule for 2023
Week 16: versus the New York Giants
Week 17: Against the Arizona Cardinals
Week 18: visit to the New York Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles have been able to win games to mask some of their problems, but the last few weeks have been difficult. The biggest problem has been the defense, particularly the back seven, which appears to be in disarray.

The Eagles are doing everything they can to close out the season, and they now have Matt Patricia calling defensive plays, but the talent simply isn’t there, and they appear to be a little slow. Will Justin Houston make a difference for the Philadelphia Eagles, or will he be another Shaq Leonard who falls behind?

Although the Eagles have a lot of skill, their defense ranks 26th in the NFL, allowing 24.4 points per game. The offense has flaws as well, but if they can improve on the defensive side of the ball, they will be in a good position.

Going up against the Giants and Cardinals in the final two weeks of the season should secure them a top-four spot in the NFC.
