On Monday, the seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback commented on SportsCenter’s Instagram post depicting the hit, informing followers that Kazee, who was ejected from the game following the play, had been suspended for the remainder of the season.
Coaches must coach more effectively, quarterbacks must read coverages and pass the ball to the correct locations, and defenders must target the correct hitting zones.
The NFL punished Kazee for the remainder of the regular season and prevented him from participating in any Steelers playoff games. Pittman Jr. was hit during the second quarter of Saturday’s game at Lucas Oil Stadium after catching a pass from Gardner Minshew II.
Following the play, the fourth-year receiver was placed in concussion protocol.
Despite missing five starters against the Jets, the Dolphins allowed only 103 yards of offense, the second-fewest in Dolphins history and the fewest surrendered since Miami allowed just 76 yards against Buffalo in October 1973.
Miami is fourth in rushing yards per game and tenth in throwing yards per game. Furthermore, the Dolphins allow only 3.4 yards per carry, which is tied for fourth-best in the league.
Those 23 running yards were the fewest allowed by Miami since a game against Oakland in 2010.
Jevon Holland, who has been out for three games due to sprained MCLs in both knees, says his knees are feeling better. His 8.0 sacks rank 22nd among all players in the league and 12th among defensive linemen.
In response to Adam Schefter’s Instagram post reporting that Damontae Kazee has been suspended by the NFL, Brady turned to Instagram to chastise his teammates for putting their teammates at risk of heavy hits.
He highlights the need of coaches improving their coaching, quarterbacks making better judgments based on coverages, and defenders hitting in proper spots.
According to him, quarterbacks must accept responsibility for their acts and not allow poor judgments to result in wide receivers being struck.
