The Green Bay Packers are on a two-game losing streak that is threatening their prospects of making the NFL Playoffs. There are no guarantees that the Packers will make the playoffs after missing out in 2022 when Aaron Rodgers led the team to an 8-9 record. They have a 95% probability of making the playoffs if they win their remaining three games.
Of course, every NFL team wants to make the playoffs and, ideally, win the Super Bowl. The 2023 Packers, on the other hand, have an objective that would decide the franchise’s destiny. That, as everyone knows, was to see if Jordan Love, whom they selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, was talented enough to be their franchise quarterback.
As their record indicates, it has not been an easy season. Love and his youthful pass catchers have been put through a lot, especially during their four-game losing streak in October. Love, on the other hand, never lost confidence, and he and his young group of talent players have developed together just as the Packers had planned.
Love now has a 62.6% completion rate, 3,368 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Many NFL quarterbacks today do not have those numbers, and just two have been better in one key area in NFL history.
Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers has joined a list that includes Brock Purdy and Dan Marino.
Regardless of how others perceive him, Love has done a fantastic job of managing the football. He has already thrown multiple touchdowns with no picks in six games. He has thrown for three touchdowns in four of these contests. This season, only Brock Purdy has more multiple touchdown games with no interceptions.
Only Purdy and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino have had more games with multiple touchdowns and zero interceptions in their first 15 starts, according to the Packers dope chart. Purdy got eight points, while Marino had seven.
Quarterback for the Green Bay Packers Jordan Love excels in a variety of passing categories.
In addition to that remarkable achievement, the dope sheet indicated that Love ranks favorably in other NFL throwing categories this season, including:
Tied for third in red zone touchdown passes (20).
Tied for fourth in third-down passing touchdowns (nine).
Tied for eighth in touchdown passes (25)
In other words, Love is everything the Packers hoped he would be: their future. Fans should anticipate him to sign another contract extension before the 2024 season.
