A lot may yet depend on Leeds’ promotion struggle, as failing to reclaim a place in the top flight might put an end to any hope of acquiring the defender.

Rodon has played well for the Whites and has proven to be a good match for Farke’s style of play, but it may not be enough to persuade him to stay long-term if it means staying in the Championship.

While his career at Spurs appears to be finished, he might yet sign a permanent deal somewhere based on his achievements at Elland Road if promotion is not secured.
