The Green Bay Packers are clearly facing hardship right now. After three straight victories, the club has now lost two in a row (against teams that many expected them to beat). Because of those losses, the Packers are currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the 2023 NFC playoff picture.

Following the Packers’ humiliating 34-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a notable member of the defense took to social media to offer his personal comments.

Wisconsin Sports Heroics’ Robin Adams addressed the ongoing controversy involving inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell:

LaFleur announced in his press conference yesterday that Barry would remain the Packers’ defensive coordinator for the rest of the season. He also stated that he would become more active and address “communication issues” between Barry and the players.

In other words, LaFleur (and by extension, Barry) blamed the players. The following is taken from the Packers’ official website:

The coaches and players, according to LaFleur, had communication concerns.

“When you’re having basic communication problems and you’re supposed to be in a certain coverage or a certain rotation and we’re not getting that communication … it always starts with us,” he went on to say. “It starts with me and spreads to all of our assistant coaches.” So, obviously, the coaching wasn’t up to par, and our performance on the field reflected that.”

He also said that the players on the field were not communicating with one another in and out of the huddle, which is standard protocol to get everyone on the same page.

While conceding coaching faults, he continues to criticize the players, or throw them under the bus, if you will.

De’Vondre Campbell has had enough of being put under the bus.

De’Vondre Campbell, an All-Pro linebacker, tweeted the following on Tuesday morning:

Packers Fans React to Campbell’s Angry Remark

Packers fans observed Campbell’s anguish and, for the most part, supported him in the situation:

Green Bay’s defensive predicament appears to be deteriorating as we speak. It will be fascinating to observe when and if the organization decides to replace coaches on that side of the ball.
