CBS PHILADELPHIA – According to various sources, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will play against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night despite being labeled as questionable with an illness.
On Sunday afternoon, Hurts was upgraded to questionable and traveled to Seattle separately from the team. He also did not participate in the team’s Friday afternoon practice.
The Eagles have lost two straight games, to the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite not playing on Sunday, the Eagles secured a postseason spot for the third consecutive season under head coach Nick Sirianni.
Seattle is the first club Philadelphia has faced with a losing record since Week 8, but the west coast match will still be a challenge for the Eagles, who have lost seven straight to the Seahawks and haven’t won in Seattle since 2008.
The Eagles and Seahawks were slated to play on Sunday, December 17, at 4:25 p.m. ET, but the game was flexed to Monday, December 18, marking the first time in NFL history that a Monday Night Football game was flexed.
The game will begin at 8:15 p.m. ET.
