The Philadelphia Eagles returned from their bye week riding a surge of enthusiasm, having won their previous two games against the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles. However, in recent weeks, the Eagles’ locker room has devolved into finger-pointing.

Despite having one of the best records in the NFL (10-3), Philadelphia hasn’t looked like a Super Bowl contender in recent years. It lost 20-14 to the New York Jets in October, needed overtime to overcome the Washington Commanders, and is tied for second in point difference (+21) with the Minnesota Vikings.

One adjustment has already made due to growing dissatisfaction inside the Eagles organization. Philadelphia relieved defensive coordinator Sean Desai of play-calling duties, letting Matt Patricia to take over as defensive coordinator going forward. However, issues persist.

Even though the Eagles are near the top of the NFL standings, there is a sense of “unease” in the locker room, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus. One club insider stated there is far “too much finger-pointing” among Eagles players directed at one another inside the building.

The Eagles’ defense has been their biggest issue for the bulk of the season. Philadelphia now boasts one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, and its run defense has deteriorated over time. It’s logical to suppose that the Eagles’ offensive players were frequently pointing fingers at defenders.

However, Philadelphia’s offensive is not without fault. The Eagles have averaged 201 passing yards and 112 running yards a game during their last five games. If things don’t improve against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, the situation in the Eagles’ locker room will certainly worsen.
