The Green Bay Packers understand that every game from now on will have a significant impact on their playoff chances. With a win, the Packers can maintain their seventh-place playoff seeding. 6-7 are the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New Orleans Saints.

Knowing they needed a win, the Packers chose to add a 29-year-old veteran to their active roster ahead of their game against Tampa Bay.

Alabama in NFL: Kenyan Drake signs with Packers' practice squad

Prior to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ visit to Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers add a 29-year-old running back to their active roster.

Drake was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster by the Green Bay Packers.

Drake was added to the Packers’ practice squad earlier this month. Earlier this season, he caught two catches for 31 yards in two games for Baltimore. Following that, he spent time on the Browns’ practice squad but never saw action.

Drake ran for 482 yards and grabbed 17 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown in 12 games for Baltimore last season.

Drake has only been in Green Bay for two weeks, but this is his second elevated game. Despite offering depth as the third running back option, he saw no action against the Jets.
