Kyler Murray of the Cardinals has two crucial weapons available as Arizona attempts to upset the 49ers.

Marquise Brown and Michael Wilson of the Arizona Cardinals have received injury updates. Brown is presently uncertain to participate due to a heel issue, and Wilson is also questionable due to a chronic neck injury. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, both are “expected to play” in the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco enters the contest as a big favorite, having won five straight games. The Niners went on a three-game losing streak in the middle of the season, but they regained their footing and are back on pace. They’re possibly the league’s hottest team, second only to the Dallas Cowboys, so the 3-10 Cardinals will have their hands full.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray will have 2 key weapons available as Arizona tries to upset 49ers

Quarterback Kyler Murray will have access to much-needed weapons. Brown and Wilson both had good seasons in 2023, with Brown averaging 574 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games and Wilson averaging 435 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. Murray’s rookie has been a dependable element, with Wilson functioning as a legitimate downfield threat.

The Cardinals will most likely use Murray’s legs early in the game, but if Brown and Wilson can prolong plays and maybe find themselves open deep downfield, Arizona has the best chance of pulling off an upset. Two of their three wins have come in the last four weeks, as they have finally found a rhythm after Murray returned from injury. The Cardinals’ record indicates a greater urgency toward the 2024 NFL Draft, so this game isn’t as critical for them, but they have an opportunity to sting a division adversary if they win.
