The mystery ailment that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is now suffering from has reportedly worsened, casting question on his ability to play against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.

After controlling the NFC East for much of the season, the Eagles are now vying for the division title and the top spot in the NFC playoffs with the Dallas Cowboys. It has added significance to the team’s Monday Night Football game versus the Seahawks.

There are now genuine doubts that their star player will be available for the game tomorrow night. “Eagles are downgrading QB Jalen Hurts to questionable for Monday night’s game in Seattle after his sickness worsened overnight,” ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Sunday morning. Hurts is still hoping to play Monday and is coming to Seattle separately from the squad to avoid getting anyone else sick.”

What should give Eagles fans hope is that the game was originally scheduled for today but was shifted to its present date on Monday. If they had played on Sunday, Schefter said he would have been out for their Week 15 game. However, there is still a chance that he may be able to play on Monday.
