Philadelphia Eagles fans are among the greatest in the world.

People outside of Philadelphia, on the other hand, are continually pointing out the flaws in our fan base. “Eat this snowball,” I tell them. “Also, read this study.”

Because an academic study has revealed that Eagles fans rank with Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots fans as having the best fan bases in the NFL. I’m aware of the company’s ugliness.

The study, dubbed the “NFL Fan and Brand Report 2018,” was done by Dr. Michael Lewis of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, according to Yahoo! Sports, and takes a number of parameters into account to determine a fan’s loyalty. Money spent on tickets and equipment, passion on social media platforms, and how well fan bases travel to see their team on the road are all factors.

“The analysis is grounded in economic and marketing theory, and uses statistical tools to shed light on the question of which teams have the most loyal or ‘best’ fans,” says Dr. Lewis. The main difference is that this is a fully quantitative investigation. It is motivated by evidence rather than emotion.”

Eagles fans are second only to Dallas Cowboys fans in terms of “Road Equity,” indicating that the Philadelphia fan base travels exceedingly well. Birds supporters rank sixth in “Social Equity” and 12th in “Fan Equity,” putting them in third place overall.
