Jalen Hurts – I’m Not Scared Despite My Situation

Although the Philadelphia Eagles have now dropped their past two games by 20 scores or more, quarterback Jalen Hurts isn’t very concerned.

After reaching the championship game the previous season and only losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia is among the favorites to return to the Super Bowl in 2023. Their rapid start, winning five of their first six games and dropping only one through Week 12, added to the team’s confidence.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Earns His Master's Degree

On the other hand, the Eagles seem out of sorts after losing to the San Francisco 49ers 42-19 in Week 13. The Philadelphia team struggled mightily against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14 on Sunday, failing to get past their defense.

It’s one thing to lose close games, but losing by 20 points or more to two teams that are vying for the championship is definitely enough for alarm. Despite suffering back-to-back losses in Weeks 16 and 17, the Eagles only dropped three games in 2022, never falling down more than 15 points.

Hurts is not panicking just yet, despite the unpleasant situation they find themselves in. He stated his confidence that they can overcome their most recent setback and expressed no worry of their becoming trapped.

Hurts told reporters following their Cowboys loss, “It’s something we are going through, not something we are stuck in,” according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.

As it happens, there is still a good possibility for the Eagles to turn the franchise around before the season ends. Jalen Hurts and company, though, have the task of walking the talk.

After hitting 7-year offensive low, how clear is the fix for Jalen Hurts and Eagles?

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts calls on the team to step up

It turns out that Jalen Hurts is aware of how much work needs to be done if they hope to break free from their present slump. Having stated that, he challenged himself and his group to become “better.”

Hurts continued, saying, “We have to all be better and that starts with me,” as reported by Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Hurts also discussed how he can better himself in order to assist the Philadelphia Eagles. In response, he stated that he needed to “protect the ball better” because he had already racked up 10 interceptions in the 2023 season.

Next week’s Eagles game against the Seattle Seahawks presents a chance for Hurts and the rest of Philly to return to winning ways. But be prepared for the team’s misgivings to grow if they are unable to secure a clear victory.
