The Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing for a Week 15 showdown with playoff implications. Every week feels like a “must win” for both clubs in order to stay in playoff contention. Getting healthy at the appropriate time is critical to success in the NFL.
The Packers are attempting to do this, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Aaron Jones has been out since spraining his MCL against the Los Angeles Chargers. That, however, could alter very soon.
The Green Bay Packers make a significant announcement on Aaron Jones’ availability against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jones is officially categorized as Questionable for Sunday’s game, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Jones is “optimistic” about playing versus Tampa Bay, according to Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com:
Jones expressed confidence in his chances of facing the Buccaneers in a press conference on Thursday. Due to hamstring and knee problems, the former Pro Bowler has missed six games this season.
Dillon returned to practice on Friday with a modified cast on his right hand after suffering a thumb injury on the last offensive play of Monday night’s game against the New York Giants. The fourth-year running back has yet to be sidelined by an injury in the NFL.
Having Aaron Jones back would be a huge boost for the Packers’ offense.
Aaron Jones has missed three games due to a knee injury. LaFleur stated that Jones “did what he had to do today” after practicing all week.
Growing pains are common for quarterbacks in the NFL, so Jordan Love should expect some as he grows. It’s the first time he’s had regular game reps since his senior year of college in 2019. His ups and downs should come as no surprise.
The current challenges he’s dealing with, like as accuracy, timing, and footwork, will be problematic in the future if they continue. Bringing back a guy like Jones will be critical not only for the club as a whole, but also for Jordan Love’s development.
