Minnesota Vikings running back RT’s Alexander Mattison The Cincinnati Bengals game will not include Brian O’Neill.

Minneapolis, Minnesota The Minnesota Vikings’ offense will be without two key players for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

On Thursday, the team declared that right tackle Brian O’Neill and running back Alexander Mattison were out. In the team’s victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, both players sustained ankle injuries.

Ty Chandler will take over as the primary running back. Following O’Neill’s injury, backup tackle David Quessenberry took over at right tackle and is expected to start on Saturday.

Concussion-related absences also affect wide receiver Jalen Nailor.

Though labeled as questionable, Justin Jefferson is expected to participate despite having just played 13 plays due to a fresh injury. Jefferson returned from a long-term ailment last week.

Both right guard Ed Ingram, who missed the whole game, and left guard Dalton Risner, who missed a few snaps on Sunday, will play on Saturday.

On Thursday, head coach Kevin O’Connell also revealed that rookie quarterback Jaren Hall will serve as Nick Mullens’ backup. The team’s backup quarterback in case of emergency is Joshua Dobbs.

The Vikings’ game on Saturday will be away from home. It begins at midday.
