On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles will face the San Francisco 49ers in what could be the NFL’s Game of the Week, and Jason Kelce has every reason to turn the page. But something still irritates the veteran Pro Bowl center, and perhaps by demanding a review of last week’s game, the Eagles can be helped this week. The Eagles and the Buffalo Bills were the NFL’s marquee matchup last Sunday, with Philadelphia winning in overtime in a thriller.
But, during that game, the Eagles offensive line – now famous for its muscular “Tush Push” – was victimized by what Kelce calls a “dirty” and “disgraceful” ploy.
Kelce believes Bills defensive lineman Jordan Phillips crossed the line by attempting to injure Eagles teammate Cam Jurgens on purpose. “At the time, I thought it was (bleep).” I truly did. “I told the official on the field,” Kelce explained.

“I said, ‘I’ve been running that play for a long time,'” Kelce continued. People have jumped offsides before. (Phillips) made no attempt to stop after jumping offsides. He purposefully attempted to harm Cam Jurgens. I thought it should have been a personal foul, and I believe he should have been fined for it.”
He said: “I thought that play in particular was absolutely a disgrace that the NFL should not allow.” The NFL appears to have ruled on the play and has not fined Phillips.
Now, how does all of this relate to the “game of the year”? Philadelphia and San Francisco are scheduled to play on Sunday afternoon, and Kelce, who is astute enough to seek any advantage, has just put this week’s officials on high alert when it comes to this type of play.
