According to reports, an arrest has occurred among the Minnesota Vikings’ coaching staff. Several NFL players and coaches have been arrested this season, including New Orleans Saints receivers Michael Thomas and Chris Olave, and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Watson. A Vikings coach has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Wes Phillips, the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, was arrested on Friday night for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Phillips, the son of former NFL head coach Wade Phillips, informed the team of his arrest and is expected to play in this week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

This morning, the team contacted the NFL and discussed the next steps with Phillips. The NFL has determined that the offensive coordinator will be able to travel to Las Vegas with the team for this week’s game. More information is still being gathered, and Phillips and the team have declined to make any further comments on the situation at this time.

Phillips is in his 17th season as a head coach in the NFL and his second as the Vikings’ offensive coordinator. He was the tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. He is in his second year as a head coach in the NFL and has made a positive impact on the field for the team.

Minnesota is currently 6-6, good for second place in the NFC North. They will face the Raiders this week in the hopes of securing first place in their division, which they currently lead by a slim margin over the Green Bay Packers.
