Several outlets began revealing their All-America teams for the 2023 college football season. CBS Sports, USA TODAY, and Sports Illustrated all published one, and multiple Michigan football players appeared on each. The Athletic revealed their All-America team, and two Wolverines made the cut. Both Zak Zinter and Will Johnson were named to the All-American team, according to The Athletic.

So far, Zinter has been named a first-team All-American by all four outlets. His performance on the field was certainly noticed, and he helped lead the Michigan offensive line to another potential Joe Moore Award winner. Zinter chose to return to Michigan for his senior year, and while he suffered a season-ending injury against Ohio State, Zinter should make an excellent NFL guard.

According to The Athletic, Johnson is a second-team All-American. The sophomore cornerback has been a standout in Ann Arbor, and most draft analysts believe he would be a first-round pick if he were eligible to enter the NFL draft this year. Fortunately for Michigan, Johnson will return for at least one more season in 2024.
