The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in signing not only Shaquille Leonard, but also fellow aging star Zach Ertz.
Linebacker Zach Cunningham suffered a hamstring injury in Week 12 and was forced to leave the Eagles’ eventual victory over the Buffalo Bills. His absence, however brief, will have a significant negative impact on the defense, as he is one of the team’s tackle leaders this season.

Given their obvious need, it wasn’t surprising to learn earlier this week that the organization was interested in signing recently released former All-Pro Shaq Leonard, who was released by the Indianapolis Colts.
The Philadelphia Eagles are considering a reunion with a former teammate. Zachary Ertz
However, it appears that he is not the only recently released former star that Philadelphia is considering for a roster spot in Week 14. After nearly three seasons with the Cardinals, veteran tight end Zach Ertz was released this week.
The popularity of the Philadelphia Eagles is growing, with the Bills-Eagles game being the highest-rated game of the 2023 NFL season.
Ertz was traded from Philadelphia to Arizona in 2021, and the Eagles are now interested in reuniting with the three-time Pro Bowler, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, the Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens are all interested in signing the 33-year-old.
After his first nine years with the Eagles, Ertz is second all-time in receptions and ranks in the top ten in yards and touchdowns.
Dallas Goedert, the team’s current starting tight end, has missed the last two games and is not expected to play this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
