The Detroit Lions want Jameson Williams to stop acting like Superman.
Jameson Williams, a second-year wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, has been displaying his remarkable athleticism on the field, particularly in his penchant for leaping into the end zone. This habit, while emphasizing his physical abilities, has caused concern among fans and the coaching staff. Antwaan Randle El, wide receivers coach, addressed Williams’ soaring end zone entries in a recent interview.

Antwaan Randle El had this to say about Jameson Williams.
Randle El praised Williams’ athletic ability while emphasizing the importance of ball security over spectacular leaps. He emphasized the dangers involved, not only in terms of potential injury, but also of losing the ball, which could have serious consequences for the team.

“Not even a shoulder,” Randle Ell pointed out. “Like, forget about his shoulder.” We want to ensure that we have the ball at the end of the game! We’re done if he jumps and the ball, for whatever reason, slips out of his hands and goes to the back of the end zone. We’re done. Their ball, touchback. What we preach is ball security. He is well aware that he is not supposed to be acting in this manner.”
