Shaq Lawson, a Buffalo Bills defensive end, could face serious consequences from the NFL after being caught on video getting into a verbal altercation and then shockingly shoving a Philadelphia Eagles fan yesterday afternoon.

The Bills have had a difficult last month. The team suffered two unexpected losses to begin November, prompting public criticism of the offense and the play of 2022 MVP candidate Josh Allen. In response to their recent struggles, they fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and rebounded with a dominating win over the New York Jets last week.

However, Buffalo blew an early lead against the league-leading Eagles and lost in overtime, 37-34, to the NFC East squad. The loss dropped the team’s record to 6-6 and moved them further away from the AFC playoff picture.

The disappointing result was just one of many in a season in which there was genuine hope that the roster would finally realize its full potential and return Buffalo to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994. It appears that frustration reached a boiling point during the Bills game yesterday, aided by some obnoxious Eagles fans.

Buffalo Bills’ season has come to an end. Shaq Lawson was filmed getting physical with a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Following their most recent loss, a video of defensive tackle Jordan Phillips aggressively approaching and confronting an Eagles fan in the stands behind the Buffalo Bills bench circulated on social media. Shaq Lawson and a couple of other players followed him to the verbal altercation.

As Phillips and the fan bantered back and forth, Lawson was saddled up next to his teammate and let his anger get the best of him, shoveing the Eagles fan. Security and cooler heads caused a separation, and the fan appeared to be fine; however, the 29-year-old made a big mistake.

Obviously, NFL fans are not free to do and say whatever they want, but a player getting physical with a spectator at a game is a definite no-no that will almost certainly result in an investigation by the league and a potentially serious penalty for Lawson. The video does not demonstrate that Lawson was in the right during the fight.
