Sunderland defender Trai Hume has been linked with a move despite recently signing a new contract.
Trai Hume, a Sunderland defender, has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light.
Championship teams According to TEAMtalk, Leicester City, Leeds United, and Premier League side Burnley are among a “host of clubs” interested in the Northern Ireland international.
Hume started for Sunderland against Millwall last Saturday in a 1-1 draw at The Den in the Championship.
Tony Mowbray’s side fell behind on the stroke of halftime when Kevin Nisbet converted Brooke Norton-Cuffy’s cross. Following back-to-back defeats against Plymouth and Huddersfield, Jack Clarke’s 78th-minute penalty spot equalizer earned the visitors a point.
Hume, on the other hand, recently signed a new contract with Sunderland until 2027, putting the Black Cats in a strong position should any bids for the right-back come in.
Despite the new contract, TEAMtalk has reported that Leicester, Burnley, and Leeds are all interested in signing the defender.
