Leicester City have won four of their last twelve points, and their recent draw with lowly Sheffield Wednesday prompted Enzo Maresca to mention Leeds United.
Leicester City’s form has remained shaky since Leeds United defeated them at home, with only four points taken from the last 12 available. A midweek draw at bottom-of-the-table Sheffield Wednesday did nothing to calm nerves.
When asked about the dropped points after the 1-1 draw at Hillsborough, manager Enzo Maresca mentioned Daniel Farke’s side. Leeds, of course, dropped points against the Owls in August, but at Elland Road.
Maresca’s comments about how the best teams in the league can lose to the worst showed how highly he regards Leeds. In other words, if a team of United’s caliber can lose to Wednesday, no one should be surprised if Leicester does as well.

“Sometimes we can concede like tonight,” he went on to say. “It’s a shame because the game was almost done.”
“We’ve always said the same thing since we started because it’s not easy. The table is there, the first against the last, but it’s complicated.
“This team drew away from Leeds.” You never know, everything is complicated.”
On Wednesday night, Abdul Fatawu put the Foxes ahead in South Yorkshire, but Jeff Hendrick equalized in injury time. Leicester’s lead was cut to one point, with Leeds trailing by seven points in third.
On Saturday, Maresca’s team travels to former club West Bromwich Albion, who have won five of their last six games under Carlos Corberan. A Boxing Day clash at Portman Road will also mark the club’s first meeting with Ipswich Town.
