Leicester City has received an apology from Sky Sports.

Sky Sports is experiencing technical difficulties ahead of Saturday’s match between West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.

The broadcaster’s coverage was supposed to begin at 12pm noon on Sky Sports Football, but they are instead showing highlights from previous matches that have aired on the channel.

“We’re really sorry for the temporary fault and hope to return to the scheduled program shortly,” an apology is overlaid on the footage.

“Apologies for not being able to bring you the usual build-up to the game,” they added. We’ve had some major technical problems that we’re working hard to resolve. We will have slightly limited coverage and no graphics or replays, but we hope to have them back during the match.”

The coverage was restored just in time for kickoff, but the commentator stated that it would be limited, with no graphics or replays.

Here’s what some of the fans are saying.

@Sam_LCFC: c’mon, fix this flaw, kickoff is in 5 minutes, and you mug us off the one time Leicester is on TV.

@lozzzzzza1: Is it just the work experience lads on shift today?

@njwoodward: Will they postpone the #wbalei start because @SkySports has lost the TV link? Who is more important, the TV audience or the paying public?

Have the elves been messing with your connections, @StricklyDanWPR? Turn on the Leicester game.

@ollie_patterson: Is there any chance that Sky Sports will cover the game? Could I please have the £120/month value within the next 11 minutes? Useless.
