Cameron Sims, a third former Alabama wide receiver, was signed by the Eagles.
Sims signed a contract with the Eagles on Thursday, according to Elite Loyalty Sports. He went undrafted in 2018 and played for the Washington Redskins/Football Team/Commanders for five seasons (2018-22). Sims spent this season on two practice squads, the Raiders and the Giants, before landing with the Eagles. Sims, a native of Louisiana, was a four-star recruit in the 2014 class at the University of Alabama. Sims did not become a star due to injuries, but he did win two College Football Playoff National Championship rings in 2015 and 2017. He also played on three Southeastern Conference championship teams (2014-16).
Sims’ career will hopefully take off in Philadelphia.
Over the years, the Philadelphia Eagles have been known to draft and sign former Alabama players. The Eagles agreed to terms with former Alabama wide receiver Cam Sims on Thursday morning. Sims attended Alabama for four years. He caught 41 passes for 467 yards and two touchdowns. In the 2018 NFL Draft, the Louisiana native went undrafted.
