Philadelphia Eagles Fans React to Legendary All-Pro Wide Receiver’s Midseason Retirement

Philadelphia Eagles fans reacted to the news that one of the team’s icons from the previous decade was retiring from the league. According to the Eagles, Jackson will retire from the team after Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Jackson spent two seasons with the Eagles. Jackson was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He remained in Philadelphia through the 2013 season, making three Pro Bowl appearances.

Jackson signed with the Eagles again for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He’d go on to win Super Bowl LV with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. During the 2022 season, Jackson played his final NFL game for the Baltimore Ravens.

Jackson finished his NFL career with 641 receptions for 11,263 yards and 58 receiving touchdowns.

Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles react to Jackson’s retirement.

It wasn’t clear earlier this fall whether Jackson would be able to make another playoff run this season. However, Jackson chose to retire as a member of the team for which he played in his prime.
